Brown leather per meter
The brown leather is available in different widths. You can choose between 9 mm, 12 mm and 15 mm and a thickness of 5-6 mm. This leather can be cut at different lengths. It has a super quality and the brown leather is tanned vegetarian. This results in very beautiful and strong leather. The leather is obtained by the use of vegetable products (such as mimosa, quebracho), and also mineral tannins (alum and other aluminum salts). Tanning is a process that is applied to make leather of the skins of animals. Since 1700 there was a scientific research to accelerate the tanning process. After tanning, the finishing can be done. This includes (depending on the type of leather) pressing, greasing, bleaching, drying, …. Also unevenness in the skin are sanded off. The cows that are used for this thicker leather are from cows with a very thick skin. The leather sheets are also selected where the life of the animal cannot be “read” (no scars, …).
